Description
DS2500 is amongst the foremost high performance track day pads in the business. It is also suitable for some light duty front and many rear pure race applications. It offers excellent refinement for such a high performance pad. The main characteristics of DS2500 are:
- Track day & light race use for all vehicle types
- Road style refinement but with race material ability to withstand heat with respect to life and µ
- Average friction coefficient of 0.42 over working temperature range of 20°-500°C
The DS2500 compound is primarily designed for high performance road use however its excellent speed and temperature sensitivity characteristics make DS2500 our most highly recommended street/track ‘combo’ pad. Particularly effective where a high temperature range is required with only low to medium friction requirements such as lower grip tires and/or surfaces.
These pads have long been our favourite pad to recommend where usefulness in a variety of conditions is desired. Aside from moderate dusting and some potential for noise you can run these pads in cold, hot, street, autocross or light track. Ferodo DS Performance pads are supplied to you ‘ready to perform’ which means that they reach maximum efficiency after only one or two brake applications!
