A Cam developed for the Supercharged Cooper S Engine For Fast Road Competition Use
By replacing the camshaft in the MINI Cooper S or JCW with a Newman cam you can improve performance. A Newman camshaft increases performance by allowing the valves to open for longer which in turn allows more air/fuel into the cylinders. This improves power/torque and is ideal for fast road use and track use.

Fitting a camshaft allows more air / fuel and keeps that valves open for longer than the stock cam to enter the cylinder, resulting in an overall increase in power in a cost effective way. The large increase in both BHP and torque throughout the Rev Range are essential when increasing the power and capabilities of your mini.
Although not absolutely necessary on all models, it is recommended to re map the ECU when fitting the Newman camshaft to achieve the full potential power gains.
